The voice your guests hear.
Your tour gets translated and read aloud — and how that voice sounds helps decide whether someone is still listening after an hour. There are two tiers. Here you can hear both back to back, with the same sentence.
„Willkommen in der Altstadt. Rechts sehen Sie den Dom aus dem dreizehnten Jahrhundert. Sein Turm war über vierhundert Jahre lang das höchste Bauwerk der Stadt.“
The clear voice
StandardUnderstandable and even, included in every offer. It keeps a steady pace and emphasizes little — perfectly fine for announcements and short stretches.
The human-like voice
Chirp 3 HDAdds pauses, stresses individual words, varies its pace. The difference shows most on long passages: the better the voice, the less tiring it is to listen to for an hour.
And the voice of the device?
There is a third option that can't be played here: the smartphone's built-in reading voice. It steps in when no cloud voice is available for a language, or the device can't use one. How it sounds is decided by your guest's phone — that's why it isn't offered as an audio sample here: on your screen it would sound different than on theirs.
Important for planning: on iPhone and iPad, guests always hear this built-in voice. Apple only gives websites access to the pre-installed compact voices, not the high-quality ones from the iOS settings. So the voice quality you chose has no effect there.
